NEW WESTED ARRIVED!!

Post by DOHERTYJAX »

I came home from work last night and there was a card left from the post office saying that I missed a package. I thought for sure it was my Federation, which was shipped out last Friday. I went to pick up the package this morning, and it was my Wested goatskin standard (size 48). I absolutely love this jacket. I was scared to try t on since I had no luck with the Todd's standard, but this jacket hit the spot. It fits great, and I cant beleive how fast it got here. I think I ordered it on Saturday. I will post some pics later today.

oh, I know- if you hit 8 and then ) after that, you get that smiley for some reason....I know because I've done it. You need to add a space after the 8 and before ).

I got my wested today too! I love the jacket, it's great..it just looks too new and too clean. I'm not sure whether I should weather this by wearing it, or by artificial weathering...it feels bad to start beating up the leather

Spritzing the leather with a hose then scrunching the leather by hand, followed by airdrying helps take away the shine and give it some creases and character.

Just don't let your parents know I told you to do that! LOL

But then it feels good when you see it transform into that "Indy worn" looking jacket you imagined when you ordered it! 8)

Ok, here is a pic taken by my 6 year old.m It is the best I can do for now, because my wife is sick in bed, and does not want to get up to take a picture of me. I am wearing me Federation 4 which also arrived today.

My order number was 7251, but I picked that up about 3 months ago in person on Jan. 12th.
