gmarthe, for Florida rain, go with goat or non-distressed cowhide when it comes to water resistance. Lived there, know what you're talking about.

If you can find Scotchgard leather spray protector, that works fine without darkening your distressed leather....but it contains a bit of silicone, so unless you never plan on using anything BUT Scotchgard on the jacket for it's lifetime, you best buy something else.

No long sizes for Limited Edition?

Post by JC1972 »

I was hoping the Limited Edition would have a long as I need it for being 6'3". That leaves me with Vintage Cowhide or the VIP. They both look nice. :?

I emailed Sarge back on the 9th and asked for a Large Long. He said not at this time, "but contact me in 2 weeks and I'll see what I can do for COW members only" Sooo...I emailed him back yesterday morning, and waiting on a reply. If you have time -tryto call him -Sgt Hack 1-800-659-0650. I won't be able to check my email until this evening to see if he's replied.

He's back in the 'saddle', but keep in mind, he's having to go to Cleveland for physical therapy after his bypass surgery several times a week, so that's why his replies have been hit and miss lately.

after studying the photos of US Wings Limited Edition Indy Jacket, is it me, or do the pockets look huge?

They look about the same as the Vanity Fair cover (even though the wings jackets are not CS patterns)

I just saw that I had a message. Thanks! Sgt. Hack said he had his poeple working overtime on the weekend to get them finished in time. I'm pretty darn excited. \:D/

So am I.....I took a look at that vanity fair picture but it was kind of hard to tell how big those pockets on his jacket are. I just hope I'm not disappointed.

If you don't get the call that means your size is not done yet. Finally being a 3xl paid off.

Weird. I'm a Large and you figure they would make the most common ones first (especially if they plan on getting them done by the 15th). Anyone else order a jacket from Wings and NOT get a call but get your jacket pretty quickly?

I called yesterday and they said thay 37 jackets were going out Monday and the remainder would go out today. Still, the girl in customer service wouldn't look up my order number to check which one I was, so here's to hoping I get a call and/or e-mail today. :D

Mine is on it's way to the UK via UPS as I type, although I imagine it will be next week before it gets to me. I can't wait!

I'd just like to mention for the record that the service has been extremely good, from the personal responses to email questions and the recent changes to their shipping and payment options that make shopping from outside the USA much, much easier (they don't accept credit card payments from Europe, but now take Paypal which is very stress free to use) and it's half the p&p cost it would have been last year. I realise this may not be news to many of you, but I like to give credit where it's due!
