Video: How leather is made...

Post by IndianaSolo »

Hey Gang,

Just to say I LOVE LEATHER. For me good leather is priceless. While it's awesome to be able to wear all the wonderful gear, I always try to find out how the original materials are made. While not as detailed as I'd like it to have been, these 2 part YOUTUBE videos give a good background on where those awesome jackets, belts, shoes, etc.. come from so for your educational purposes I hope you enjoy, and if you find out more, PLEASE post Thank You.

  Stucco'd? Spray painted? Geez, no wonder some leather looks like @#$%!

Oh, and guess what they do with those unwanted trimmings- cheap dog food. Yep, 'Ol Roy is a bag of full of leather waste! -it's a filler, and used to boost the protein content. yummy.
