I found the perfect zipper for my custom order Wested. A custom Wested gains much in value with a vintage zipper installed.
This zipper is vintage, like 50-60 years old, made by some zipper manufacturer named ZAMA. It's left handed like European zippers should be.
They are deadstock NOS items and there is a limited number available.
They come in one size 55cm so the will fit sizes 38-40-42 I think (you can check for yourselves and then order). They are in brand new working condition.
The price for these is 15 euro plus 5 euro shipping. You are paying the fact that these zippers are impossible to find, one of a kind, vintage obsolete, (that factory closed long ago) and my trouble for going and buying them for you and shipping and handling charge. This is cheap considering vintage zippers often go anywhere from $100 to $300.
Enjoy the photos and PM me to order.
Notice the special teeth, the slider and bottom stop box as long as the top stops. This zipper is steel (I guess, but certainly not nickel, not alluminum) and extremely durable.
comparison with modern day zipper
I am sending mine to Wested for my next order.
Enjoy the photos and PM me if you want this zipper.
Regards,
Platon

The company was founded by two brothers named Bountros. Maybe Italians. The building of the ZAMA company was built for Andreas Cambas, founder of the well-known spirits-making Company and Distillery CAMBAS in Athens in 1897 . During WWII it was home of italian soldiers. Maybe the ZAMA founder was one of them.
