Wested Long size off the rack?

Post by ztmario »

ok, right off the bat I'm going to say that I saw a similar thread within the past few days where the exact same question was asked. someone didn't see the option available, everyone said it was and pointed him to the link for it. I don't know if he ended up getting what he wanted, but I know what he's talking about and I still see this as unresolved.

when you go to order a wested off the rack, the only size options available to add to cart are regular sizes. 38, 40, 42, 44, etc. there is no option to select for tall, and no T sizes in the drop down bar. does this mean that if you require a tall size, you MUST order custom?

hi,
I'm interested in ordering a Goatskin Raiders jacket off the rack, and was wondering if Tall sizes were available. I'm 6'2" and so wouldn't fit into any type of standard size, but didn't know if it was necessary to order a custom jacket.

thanks,
mike
Well, I'd say that pretty much settles it. I didn't email wested to begin with because I've read how difficult it can be to get a response from them, and had an email ignored myself about a year ago, but look at that two minute response time!! I'm considering that a good omen.. maybe if the wait time isn't too long, I'll even order a jacket.

I'm guessing that Wested's wait time is currently probably the longest it has been since... ever! Otherwise, they wouldn't have decided to nix the custom specs option for the time being. But better now than later IMO, since if you want to wait it out, the movie's release will probably just make the wait time significantly longer.

Or you could do what the rest of us are doing, and hide under a rock and hope the bandwagon fans fall off the bandwagon eventually... ;)

Mine is also a 44L and I got it in two weeks a couple of months ago. They must be behind the 8-ball right now.

yah, but yours was a custom. I just meant off the rack without paying extra for the customization. by the way, how tall are you?

I'm 6'3" and have a 42L. It fits fine, albeit a little tight in the upper chest (which I really have none of). What I think everyone forgets to try doing here is CALLING them. Forget e-mail and the whatnot...these people are running a business that doesn't necessarily revolve around e-mail. Get up first thing in the morning and just call international...much less stress than waiting forever for an e-mail.

which is interesting, because the USWings regular sizes are also 27" form collar to hem. I'm really trying to figure out what to do here, since my G&B is being mailed out tomorrow (sold to another member), I'm in need of another jacket. I really like the look of the USW vintage cow, and might pick one up used.. because I can't justifying spending $360 on one when I can get a wested that fits perfectly. maybe save the money by getting a used jacket and buy a custom wested down the road when the demand dies off a bit.

what is the sleeve length on a tall wested, out of curiosity?
