My Keppler Raiders Fedora
Ok, So it's been a great weekend. Yesterday I met with Ken to get my Fieldmaster. GREAT HAT I couldn't be happier. Today, to my surprise, I see the package from Lee. I didn't expect it till next week because he only told me it was being shipped on Thursday. 3 DAYS from CA to NY
Anyway. I opened it up to find this treasured beauty. No way I can compare it to the Camptown or an Akubra. It's a completely different hat. Contrary to what I was expecting it was actually very soft to the touch and the colour was MUCH darker than I expected which was a good thing. The fit was perfect and comfortable. I was expecting for this hat to be my dressier hat, but now that I can compare to my fieldmaster I switched it around. Although it is a "Raiders" hat It looks great with a suit and tie. Not that the fieldmaster can't. The camptown feels thicker and more rugged, better for casual wear. Here are some picks side by side to compare.
I DEFINITLY recommend a Keppler. I LOVE it just as much as my Camptown and has completed my hats. All thats left is my AB and I will be done. HIGHLY Recommende. THANKS LEE FOR A GREAT HAT!!

I knew you'd love the Keppler fedora. I softened mine per Lee's video and used Scout on it. It's as soft as I wanted it now and is so comfortable I don't even realize it's on....I love my hat too. I've worn it now in 2 pretty good rains and set it on a hat stand to dry, it maintained perfect shape and no shrinkage. Plus you're right the color is darker than on the website; I really like the color.
How does the Keppler color compare to the Camptown to your eyes??

To my eyes, the Keppler is more like Dark Chocolate where as the Fieldmaster is like lighter like Milk Chocolate. Thats the best anaology I can think of.gabrielle wrote: How does the Keppler color compare to the Camptown to your eyes??
I ordered my hat March 13th and it came in April 12th. Lee said 6-8 weeks and It came faster than I expected. I have nothing but praise for both Ken and Lee. I have great praise for AB as well Marc and Steve are just awesome.
For those who are thinking about a Lee or a Camptown I HIGHLY recommend both, you will not be disappointed.
Cheers
