This hat came with the thin black ribbon that is common on 'farmer' style straw hats. I have worn it a little and got to thinking that with the tall crown that a wider ribbon might look good.
So I took the ribbon off an old wool 'Indy' hat that I had, and placed it on this straw.
Looks kinda of good I think... Makes for a neat 'adventure' looking summer straw that will nowhere break the bank.
I got this hat in less than a week at the cost of less than $ 25 shipped.

The specs on my hat are--- 2 7\8 inch brim --- 5 1\4 front pinch -- 4 1\2 back crown. The side vent grommets give it a little more adventureous look!
It is in no way a SA Indy hat, but it has that {Indy} feel to it.
Also you can wet the straw down and shape the hat fairly well it will dry just like you have it. I sprayed mine with some Scouts Rain and Stain to give it a little weather protection.
