Hey all, just received a new wested raiders jacket from a seller on ebay. its a 40 reg, but i had a question for all the experts out there: i also had a custom made from wested in horsehide. my question is, the horsehide is tough and stiff, but this other leather from that bidding site is softer, and has more of a "pebbly" grain. does anybody know what that might be? could it be goat?? the seller had it listed as horsehide, but i dont think that is. Any input is appreciated

p.s. ill take some pics later on, i have language class until 9:30

Different batches of the horse have varied from quite heavy and stiff to quite thin, soft but still fairly heavy. One I have shows some texture but not quite "pebbly". However, yours sounds like goat - is it heavy?
The horse tends to be a dark/mid brown... visibly darker then the authentic usually is.
