Post by Bruce Wayne »

just like the title says. how many brown, indyesque fedoras do you own?

i own two, if you count the crushed DP i found in the garage a couple of days ago along with the Optimo Raiders style i had made up earlier in the year...

Two as well. A Federation regular and a Jimmy Pierce. If cost were no object, I'd have a different hat in each of the various styles throughout the series (Raven bar, SOC, idol grab, Venice pier, Temple of Doom (not the bridge), KOTCS). I could change them out depending on my mood. :)

I have two...a fur felt Stetson Indy and a fairly light brown Bailey Fedora that is VERY Indyesque... The bailey gets worn a LOT more than the Stetson.

I have two, a DP and a brownish-grey trilby I have had for years. I also have a Keppler and AB on order. So I guess the total is three if we are counting orders as halves.

how about none at the moment... I ordered a Magnoli HJ, I have not received that yet, nor do I know what is going on with my hat since I was suppost to have by now. Was suppost to ship the week of March 2nd and arrive in about a week. Still no hat, but Magnoli and Steve are working on it and I trust they will figure out what is going on with that. I got an AB on order and that is it right now so what do I get a .25.

Oooooo... a free hat :D , that is better than no hat at all. Thanks for your sympathy gabrielle, I guess I will eventually get my hat someday. If Magnoli and Steve get some info to me on my Magnoli HJ and find out whatever happened to my hat. Maybe I will have one soon. :D If not looks like I will be ordering a JBD to get one for the premiere. Look at the bright side I guess, I will have many hats sometime. :D

Just an update. I just got off the phone with Jimmy and ordered my JPD in brown cury felt. I got the Raven Bar with those nice deep dents in the front. So that makes:

1 Keppler

1 JPD ordered

And of course I'm still saving for my AB in SOC. :)

Three and counting

Post by Indiana MarkVII »

I have a Herbert Johnson from Todd's Costumes, a generic Raiders bashed Adventurebilt from Steve, and a Crystal Skull AB Deluxe from Marc that I can't post any photos of yet, and that one needs to be sent back for a slight resizing. I also have a brownish felt fedora hat from Disneyland Adventureland about 20 or 30 years ago, but it got rain warped and tapered severly, so I dont think if fits too well any more. I think it's time for Goodwill for that one, so I'll say 3 for now, with a CS AB on order from Steve and I'm thinking of ordering another AB in a certain scene bash, but I'm waiting to hear back from Steve on the current COW pricing.

The best fitting is my gray traveling AB, but I don't get to count that, because it's not brown. I want to get a charcoal one too, to wear with my dark blue and black suits. I am super sensitive to the sun, so I like to wear a cotton Tilley Endurables T-2 with a very wide brim, on my non fedora days, even if it's to and from the vehicle in the parking lot at work. I also have a very light weight straw fedora that I think was my first eBay purchase ever, and some caps that I can imagine wearing if I ever get the 2-seater convertable to tool around in. Then there is the straw wide brimmed sun hat I use while mowing the lawns.

I can't believe this I am quoting myself. Anyways just wanted to let you know status of my Magnoli/AB/HJ. The good news is my hat is not lost, so amen to that. Bad news is, it never got made yet. Steve was planning on using one of the last hat bodies for my hat, but in the finishing process the hat shrunk more than expected so it got used for small sized hat. I guess the other good news is Steve is expecting new shipment of hat bodies and mine would get made asap. So at least it is fresh felt. So maybe that brings my hat count up some so a .50 I don't know. I need some prayers thought to get my Magnoli before the big day, I think I might order a JPD just in case.
