New Dorfman

Post by DR Ulloa »

I just finished the four hour drive from Disney World and figured I would post a pic of the new DP I purchsed down at the Adventurers Outpost right next to the IJSS. I have a Keppler and AB on order so I didn't want to spend too much but needed something to hold me over until I recieve my Keppler, which should be in about a month. I purchased the crushable wool fed for $39.99. It was built with some taper so I might be able to recreat a sort of ToD look. I have to say, though, I was surprised at how it held up. Just about everyone here at COW has said how these DPs don't hold up in the rain. Well, it was pouring rain all weekend, including the time of purchase, and the thing held up. No extra taper or anything like that. It is actually a much richer brown and not so grey looking. Anyway, it looks just like the on that Ford put on after getting slimed at the Kids Choice Awards so...enjoy

Is the DP with the built in candle a Disney World exclusive?

Yes, I got it on sale because the wax had been permanently melted to the crown...I guess I could have moved the candle huh? Pretty funny though Tron.

I'll take note of that for next time I make a WDW run...probably sometime later this month. Its easy when you live only four hours away, but gas is a killer. I should be more like Indy and just ride bareback the whole way, though I don't know where I would stick the extra people, luggage and dogs (yes the dogs go too). Oh well, I'll cross that obstacle when I get to it.

I am sorry to say that the Official Indiana Jones fedoras made by Dorfman Pacific available at the Indiana Jones store in Adventureland, Disneyland, CA, USA ONLY comes with Adventurer's Scent.

We are currently backordered on that candle scent and should be getting more soon. We also expect an immediate shipment of Jungle Cruise Scent followed by the Eye of Mara Scent but we have had some problems with the Eye Scent.

Well as long as you are not planning to stock anymore feds with that terrible Hall of Presidents scent then all will go well.

I bought my Dorfman just for the Indy pin! :D j/k

It's not bad for a "cheap" fedora that you don't mind losing at a Halloween party.

I'm going straight for the best now...an AB!

Yeah, I bought mine just to have something to hold me over until I recieve my Keppler soon and my AB later this year. I took the IJ pin out though. I thought it made the hat a little too campy, but I still have it.

My IJ pin is clipped to the inside of my MK VII bag. It looks nice and even appears to have come with the bag....try it! You will like it!

The pins have been changed. When i was a kid they were actually pins. Now I would actually have to open a bag in the Mk VII. It actually looks like the little doo-hicky that holds shut those "Top Secret"folders. I can try though. It sounds cool
