My new Berkeley Chocolate Brown Panama Hat

Oklahoma Jones recommended a panama hat some time back. Since Berkeley was the only one to offer a hat in brown I went with it. Here are the pix...

I Love the color and the fit. The brim was bigger than I expected but It helps in summer. I had to fold the brim to get the desired snap that I wanted. I thought the ribbon was too thick so I tucked in 1/2 an inch. The only thing that bothered me was the crown. As you can see it's shorter than an indy and really tapers off. This may be more ToD'ish style, so for those who prefer taper, they'll LOVE it. I Like the hat, it's light and I'm sure it'll keep me well in the summer heat. Although it isn't SA, For $26 It's a great hat and I would recommend it for those on a budget.

Got one myself in the same color and wore it today to play golf. I'll buy many more Panamas from Berkeley. Also got a cream color witj brown ribbbon.
