My second (Replacement) Wested...finally.
Hey everyone.
As some of you know, i received my first wested a few months ago to the extreme disappointment of it being way too small. Today, I stand before you a rejuvenated man as I have received the replacement they sent me. FINALLY!
BEFORE:
AFTER:
Oh yeah, I also bought this next jacket off a friend who bought it from another fan who hand made it. I don't think Indy would wear it, but for those of us in another 'verse, it's the most SA Jacket yall ever going to see.
THe jacket is usually ALOT darker, but the flash on my gorram canon isn't that great.
ANyway, Yeah, I'm very happy with my wested, however, I'll go with US Wings next time. I've been through nothing but problems with this wested. I realize it can be longer in the sleeves and that the collar isn't quite right, but at this point, i"M very happy.

The new jacket looks much better from what I can see so far... I have not seen all the pictures yet because the page ..is ..still ..loading.
Enjoy your new Wested, I would be happy with that one. You can find sleeves much worse than that on other jackets. It is a great improvement from the images you posted before .

Sorry for the off-topic, but the coat on auction is the coat Shawna sold a couple years back. I'm afraid it's not either of the 2 coats Nathan wore during Firefly.
I met the gentleman who owns both the screen worn coats at a big event when all the known surviving Firefly props and costumes were on display here in the UK.
We got into great lengths about the original coats, seeing as how they were right there infront of us and out of the 3 coats made for production, 2 were worn by Nathan (which he owns both of) and the 3rd was made for stunt use. Which he decided not to purchase when offered it by her when he purchased the others.
One coat worn by Nathan was used for the first episode before he gets shot and the promotional photo's etc and has no damage, the other coat was the one he wore during the rest of the series, which has a real hole and stitching on the arm, various scuffs and marks and what have you, the stunt coat was made for the stunt use and saw very little screen time due to the series being cut short before it got much use, and had the bullet damage as detailing instead of actual damage.
He let me get some great shots & measurements of the hero coats which had 'Mal Hero' and a couple of other things written in black marker under the J.Logan tags inside.
A little while later Shawna listed that last remaining coat for sale as the original screen worn one of a kind coat (much to the dismay of everyone who knew better)
It sold for quite a large amount due to these claims and probably will again.
It's a real shame and very saddening that this has now been upgraded by word of mouth to something it isn't.
J. Logan even started stamping the buckles with his company name to stop it happening again incase someone tried it with his replicas he'd just started offering. The first 10 or so he did were perfect in every way, original patterns and so on, I believe this is also the reason he made changes to the pattern slightly.
It's hard enough to keep track of the screen used items from such films and television shows without people believing they have something they dont.
Shawna's word is good enough for most people though, so maybe none of this matters, just thought I'd share my knowledge. Ah well ...here endeth the lesson!
Sorry for the derail, now back to your regularly schedualed topic!

Your second jacket looks perfect, great photo too. When I saw the first photo, I thought, oh my what kind of jacket is that, it looks awful. The size can really make all the difference. I recently had to return a US Wings that was a "little" large, and the wrong leather. It made me look kind of like an unhappy retarded midget.
I wish one could just waltz into their local store and go to the Indy gear section and try on jackets, etc. until you found the perfect fit, or be measured in person, nice thought anyway.

Devil, great info!
Yeah this coat is a fan made, and it's not perfect, but it looks great in the right light and it was cheap considering how much one has to pay for a Logan one or a museum replica.
Yes! the size of the indy jacket does make all the difference. When I got my first one, I felt like a giant (more so than I already do) and the color just didn't seem right. I'm so happy that I returned it and got a replacement, I couldn't be happier with it.
I think there should bean Indy Gear section of every department store.. what's wrong with this world?
Thanks for all the feedback!
