Akubra Adventurer (OH NO, It's not an AB! lol, kidding)

Post by Jaredraptor »

Yep, I went with the Akubra Adventurer from David Morgan. I was originally going to go with the old model of the Federation, but they were out of my size. And I didn't want to wait for the new version. I went with.......well, I was GOING for a KotCS bash. Not positive that's what I got. Hey, the bash looks like the CS bash to me. And This'll probably take on its own life in the future. I'm happy with it, even though I've only had it since it got here yesterday :)

Without further ado, the pics (again, I'll resize if needed:

Yeah, very cool. Based on your photos I just ordered one. The price is hard to beat... cheaper than the Stetson I currently own, and it is a better hat.

Good choice with the Adventurer, I also have the hat. I cut the brim and put in a LC bash. It also feels amazingly comfortable. And since it's an Akubra it can stand up to all kinds of !@#$.

Cheers

Heh, thanks everyone. I'm glad to hear the bash looks good. It was my first REAL bash job (I did tighten the pinch on my old Mayser, but not a complete rebash).

Well..... the color seems to be a tiny bit darker than Indy's, but not very much. In the sunlight it looks really close, actually. And.....I have no idea what pounce is  heheh.

Did you do any trimming to the brim, or did you leave it as delivered??

Left as delivered. I'm debating whether I should eventually trim it or not. But my mom would KILL me if she found out I'd trimmed a brand new $125 fedora. So if I do trim it, it'll have to wait until I'm out of the house and in college
