Snake whip with snake's head hitch - 5ft

Post by giovanniceleste »

Hello boys, I am very pleased to show you my new line of my snake whips called Black Mamba.
The peculiarity of this whip are the plaiting of the first inches and the snake’s head knot.
A special thanks goes to mr. Bernie Wojcicki who has been so kind and professional.
First of all, he told me some information about the strength of this knot and made for me the scanning of photos contained in Ron Edwards's book - How to Make Whips(Bushcraft) I currently lost
I hope you like it
G

Saw the knot in Edwards book, but I never imagined it would look that cool on the whip. I believe I must practice this knot for my leather whip I'm planning.

Same here, I've never seen the knot on an actual whip, just Edward's book. Nice job Gio !

Hello, I'm very glad that you like it :D this is my first attempt with this knot.
Bernie Wojcicki told me this:
This knot is quite a good knot really and if you do it often enough doesn't take all that long to make. It will not slip out and I have repaired whips with this knot in and they have all been ok.
