LC pattern has changed

Post by Han Jones »

Wested confirmed this when I called today. I had to send my latest jacket back for resizing. I will order one size larger than before in the future because the new pattern is tighter from armpit to armpit. When it was zipped up it was way to tight. They also told me that they are waiting on pre-distressed cow and Novepelle hide.

I believe that they also changed the collar configuration to be more accurate (after 15 plus years). Hey, better late than never.

PS- With that predistressed hide, they probably make a really close CS jacket.

Thait is why I went with that hide until I realized they had the Novapelle. I guess that is what the CS jacket is made of so now I will have 2 CS jackets. I want that wings jacket but the fact that they don't sell long sizes and it was not very accurate to the new CS jacket kept me away.

Now all they need to do is fix those ##*** pockets which look so unlike the real LC jacket.

I just regret that fact that I did not know about this and other Indy forums prior to purchasing my Wested LC. If only I knew, I would have "Chosen Wisely" and purchased an Expo from the start....Oh well- Live and learn.

Ah, I see. I have a distressed cowhide Das Boot coat from Wested, but the leather looks a little different.

Wested had this other leather material last year, forget what it was called, but it was some kind of shaved cowhide, thinned down to resemble lamb. I thought it was something along those line.
