What to do when you want a CS style fedora

I've been staring... and staring... and staring some more at the KotCS Fedora. STEVE and MARC, YOU ARE INDEED MASTERS. That has been the best looking indy hat I have seen so far. Since I have my keppler on the way(raiders style) and my adventurer coming in this week for my LC style, what can I do to get the same look, feel, and bash as the CS (VERY Silly question I know, Ask Steve) But since the movie hasn't come out yet would he or Marc be able to recreate the hat the same way they made it for the film for the public (well mainly us) to purchase?

I far as I understand it, replicate? Yes. Recieve (and be seen befor the movie opens?) No. The costumer asked Steve and Marc not to, because he didn't want to see 30,000 CS hats running around before the film opens.

So until the movie comes out no one but Steve or Marc can make the hats and can only deliver them AFTER the movie is out. Is that what I am to understand?

silly question maybe. Yes you can get a CS hat from both Steve and Mark because they made the hat I'm sure that's one hat they can replicate. They can replicate any fedora. As for when you would have, you would have to talk with them.

Both there waiting list would be past the movie opening anyway. That's if you just placed your order.

Well, first: the only way your going to get a CS fedora is from Steve and Marc. Only they have the block and the little tricks they used to make the hat. Second, if you ordered the hat from them you wouldn't get it by the time the film came out anyway.

so this all leads up to my next question, which also has something to do with reblocking. If I have an older AB hat that was shaped using Steves raiders block, could that hat be reblocked into a CS hat?

Actually no. You can order a KCS hat from Steve, and he WILL send it to you, before the premier - assuming the line is short enough, which in this case it unfortunately isn't. I've got one on backorder from last June and according to Steve, they're more than willing to send KCS fedoras out before the premier. :junior: -M
