Best Place for a "Indy web belt'?

I never had that problem but I might wear it as much as you do. I got mine from a local army surplus store.

On the whole, the belts I got from Todd's Costumes have been fine. Granted, they are not my primary-wear belts because I usually wear leather. So far his buckles have held fine, but I do have one brass buckle from a military surplus store. You could always go that route, as Oak pointed out.

Exactly. SA web belts can be found almost anywhere. There's probably a dozen different military surplus websites online that will sell exactly what Indy wore. Then there's Todd's costumes which is great as well. This is one area of Indy Gear in which we've never had a shortage of options. :junior: -M

It's probably NOT the buckle that's at fault, it's the webbing. I have worn webbing belts for about 15 years. Over time, the webbing gets worn and smooth, and the bar can't grab as well as it used to. Before buying new parts, try removing the buckle, and flipping it to the other side of the webbing. That'll get you more life from the belt.

The problem is that modern buckles are @#$%. They don't make them as they used to...

I got mine at a Dollar Store. The buckles work fine, daily use for years at a time. The buckles aren't brass, mind you, but they work just fine for holdin' up the pantzes.

Todd's belts seem to be a good bet.

Pricewise - everything seems to be about the same.

The camo one I gave to my daughter, 'cause camo is cool! The black one I wear to work, and the khaki is pretty much Indy accurate for LC and KOTCS. You can change the silver-tone buckle from the black one to the khaki belt for SA purposes.

I ordered these from Sportsman's as well and have been satisfied. The buckles seem a little heavier than others that I've seen. And the camo pattern is only on one side, so you can flip the webbing over and have an OD green belt if that is your desire. My problem is that I can't find that nice brown webbing for the ROLA look. My local fabric store says they can't get it.

I agree. I have a couple I've used since the early 1980's that still hold fast. The cheaper new buckles( not brass) I bought about a year ago sometimes come loose. I think the knurled part of the buckle is not as good. The Todd's brass one works good so far though. The nice part is, you can always swap the buckles. I even have my Dad's old WW2 buckle he wore in the ETO.
