I find I look good in a fedora with whatever I wear except for t-shirts. I've seen some guys that look greta in fedoras and t-shirts, but its not for me. I find it goes well with jeans, as long as they aren't super light jeans. Also, my brown fedora doesn't go well with my stone colored khakis, they're just too light. In general, a brown fedora, I find, goes best with darker pants. Shirt doesn't really matter.

However, now that the heat is on, I'll be found wearing my stone khakis and linen shirts with my Panama hat. Its just too hot to wear a fur felt hat anymore. As sad as that may make me, I must live with it.

Nope... I have a pair of khaki shorts from L.L. Beans that I wear with an old pair of vintage-style sneakers and I look awesome.

Or, at least that's what I heard.
Ok, I can see that working now that you mention it! I'm going to be ordering an LL Bean field shirt in one of the 2 blues they have. Should go great with a fedora.

I feel that you can pull off jeans just fine with a fedora, and those pics look great.

By the way Fisk, you always look snazzy in your fedora and attire, I can attest to that.

I remember someone posting a pic of them in a white t-shirt, jeans and a fedora in his garden... He said something along the lines of that it was great for doing gardening or yard work around the house in the summer... Looked great to me. Not that I would wear it into town with a white tee but, still works for around the house sort of stuff... I think.

If I do wear jeans, I DO try to match it with a nice dress shirt, brown belt and brown shoes.

I have a team of three women who are my buyers. The scan the catalogs and stores on those special occasions with the same mantra: "What goes good with his fedora."

My wife, my mom and my mother-in-law should be the ones posting in this thread because they always seem to know the right thing to buy for me. I sometimes think they're channeling the spirit of Saint Edith... Ms. Head is The Patron Saint of Hollywood Costuming during The Golden Era.

You've very generous with your kind words - but those four (five if you count Deborah Nadoolman) deserve the credit.

Feety pajamas look pretty sharp too. Granted, not just anyone can pull off this look.

Hey, I know this isn't all that helpful if your trying to figure out what to wear with your fedora, but these were way too good to keep to myself.
