Last week I was in NYC and had a little time to kill so I visited the retail store of The Cockpit (used to be Avirex). I had a chance to try on some of their jackets: G-1, A-2, Type 440. Great stuff.
Their Type 440 had what had to be THE thicket goatskin I have ever seen on a flight jacket. Built like a tank. Impressive.
My favorite, however, was their A-2 Horsehide in russet. Great jacket, great craftsmanship.
