Eyeglasses
I will very soon have to have my eyes checked (and a new prescription most likely) and I was wondering if anyone knew where I might purchase the Beaufort frames?
Cheers

I took the page from Frames Direct to my eye doctor and they ordered them for me, so I had the benefit of a trained professional fitting them to my head. Be advised, though, that those glasses are big! I like the frames but the cable temples were just too huge for my head! I had to go with regular temples, which look a little different from Indy's but they're more functional for me. The optometrist was concerned that the glasses would be heavy because of the gold, but they're not...very comfortable. But I can't speak to the cable temples. I really wanted them but they are so long, they would've wrapped around my ears and stuck out the bottom! I don't know if you can trim them and the doctor said they were non-returnable so I didn't take the chance. You can get clip-on shades for them, too.

I'll keep that in mind, but I have a square head and round glasses suit me well.Panama Tom Jr. wrote:It's important to remember that even though the glass were supposed to look vintage, the movies were released in the 80's when large frames were the thing. If you've seen any other the pics of Ford's glasses in KS, they are smaller...Be advised, though, that those glasses are big!
