New Guy + New Federation Deluxe **Updated**

Post by Swamp »

Hello all. My Name is Anthony. I am new to these boards but not new to the love for Indy. After years of wanting my own fedora, I finally broke down and bought a Federation Deluxe two weeks ago. Last night I received my new Fed Dlx in the mail. First thing I did was walk around the house with it open crown style for about an hour. I even made dinner wearing it. After that I preceded to turn my open crown into a Raidersesqe fedora. I will post pictures up for people to crtique areas I need help in. Well today I wore it to work, where many of my co-workers gave me compliments on it. I am so excited with it, that I think I am going to order a grey one next week (AB or Fed Dlx?), so that I can wear it with all my business suits. I don't think the present brown fedora will go with my grey suits and black boots. Finally, I just want to say thank you to all of you on these boards that have provided me with hours of research on fedoras, whips, bags, shirts, and various other things. I hope to keep learning from all the members vast knowledge.

Welcome to COW!!! I'm a proud owner of a Fed Dlx myself, so I can identify with the "making dinner while wearing it" thing! My wife just looks at me, shakes her head, and laughs!

Just a little update. I took some pictures yesterday but they did not come out the way I wanted them to. I will take more tomorrow. The real news is that after selling some of my SW props, I just purchased a grey AB from steve and a Indy straw from Peter Bros. The grey will be bashed based on the fertility idol/sand swap. This hat will be mostly worn with my business attire, since most of my suits are blues and greys. As for the Indy straw, I went for the KOTCS bash. I like the idea of a mash-up of RotLA and TLC. Their website did note that they may have to tweak it once the film comes out. That will just give me an excuse to go see my favorite tattoo artist in Fort Worth and take the kids to Six Flags. I think I can officially say that I am hooked on wearing fedoras.
