Adventurebilt Bash Examples

Post by nicetrylaoche »

Any and all proud AB/AB Del. owners...show me some of the different bashes that you guys have...I'm still in the process of deciding what bash to style my hat in and just need some visual support...Thanks and God bless!

Here's a Fed in the Raiders bash - no turn though - This was bashed long before the turn was revealed.

Here's my AB in Streets of Cairo bash... I don't know anything about ribbon or whatnot. I bought mine from Steve back in January 2005, so whatever ribbon he had at the time...

Definitely like the "sat-on" look, French. It adds a good deal of character to the hat. :junior: -M

Thanks Mulcebar! I can't take all the credit - That goes to two others - Steve Delk and my backside!

Also, despite the lighting being weird in these pics, Steve did put the very tight Raiders pinch in it, which is the only way to fly in my opinion.

IndyFrench,

That must be the perfect hat, it's a dead ringer for the Cairo street scenes.

Rex,

I can't tell you how much a compliment like that means to me. As many of the old timers around here can attest, I have had an unhealthy obsession with the Cairo bash every since they've known me, and really since I was 4 years old (way back in 1982). Steve's work really delivered a life's quest for me - and "the sit" sealed the deal.

Thanks Rex,

I was 6 in 82, but probably didn't see Raiders until maybe 85 or so. I'm in line for an AB and can't wait, thanks for posting your hat. I think I would be happy if my hat turned out even just kind of like that. The Cairo bash is my personal favorite. It's extra unique in a wonderful way and really the classic signature Indy hat style imprinted on my mind.

Raven Bar/SoC

Post by nicetrylaoche »

Great Looking fedora's fellas...I think I'm definitely leaning towards the SoC bash, but I'd also like to see some more examples of the Raven's Bar Bash...Also, it's great to see some variety guys...the truck scene and the temple of doom bash...I love the assortment of looks...they're all excellent. If anyone else has hats bashed from unique scenes, PLEASE post some pics!!!

Here's a unique one for you - a Raiders "Well of the Souls" bash reblocked with Steve's block used for KOTCS - a kind of ROTLA/CS hybrid if you will. I always liked the Well of Souls brim as it looks like a balance between SOC and earlier in the film...

When somebody says they "turn" their fedora, what does that mean?

Ah, thanks VP. I've always noticed the "turn", but I never knew that's what everybody called it.
