Pics of my Wested 10+ years old

Post by Weston »

I'm stuck in my house going on day four with strep. It's bad when the doctor looks at your throat and says "That's impressive!" So, here are some pics of my faithful old friend, who is starting to show his age. It's a Wested in dark brown lamb, Raiders style, I bought it about 10 years ago.

And here is what a satin lining looks like after 10 years of hard wearing.

I'm SO jealous your 10-year old jacket fit right. Mine didn't...as illustrated in a previous post...

Looking good for 10 years old! I suppose if you ever need to have it re-lined they could do it for a nominal fee.
Hope you're feeling better, I know what strep feels like and it's no picnic. Get plenty of sleep Weston!

Cheers!

Thanks everyone! I do need to send it to Peter and have it relined. Honestly, the thought of sending it all the way to England and back makes me nervous.

Do you have a company locally that can reline if for you?

Wow! that's the first time I've heard anyone outside of my family use that expression!

Great looking jacket by the way.

I haven't yet found a local who can do the job. One lady was able to make a liner, but could not sew leather, and another lady could sew leather but not make a liner. Between the two, I ended up with something a bit less than stellar. I have had two estimates from people who can do both, but not for less than $150.00. I'm still looking.
