I Guess It's That Time...

Post by MiloFinch »

I re-bashed the Stetson today. I got it pretty good looking, but not good enough, for my tastes anyway. There's the taper, though, and the short crown, and every other problem that makes it not a proper Indy hat. Everyone I've showed it to doesn't know the difference, but we do, right?

Anyway, I've been considering getting a proper hat for a while now, and I think I'm going to do it. Not an AB, aside from the fact that I'm impatient, I don't wear my hat enough to warrant that kind of investment. I'll probably be going with a Camptown (Need to shoot Jersey an e-mail about it first though). I guess all that's left is to decide if I want to get it with a trimmed brim, or not and toss in the turn.

Anyway, just thought I'd let you all know. I'm kind of excited about this, finally getting a real Indy hat.

Hold out just a little longer. Hatsdirect are about to unleash a NEW and IMPROVED Akubra Federation upon the Indy public!
Same cost as the Regular Fed we all know and love, I believe, yet with new block, ribbon and felt adjustments that could seriously bring it up to the benchmark set by the mighty AB.

Disclaimer: I said 'could.' Either way...

I received an e-mail stating that the estimated lead times would be four to six weeks.
