Distressing a Wested Lambskin ?

I am a little confused, I ordered Pecards Leather Lotion! Is this the correct type of pecards to use on my Wested?

Well, I'm a little confused too. You don't 'distress' with Pecards. It's used to return moisture BACK to a distressed hide.

Leather lotion is perfect for lambskin.

O.K. Please forgive me because I am new to this distressing thing! I have had Indy Gear for a long time (10 years) and I was planning keeping everything the way it came, but since the new movie is coming it has got me back into Indy Gear again, so I have ordered a new jacket, so I wanted to distress my Wested Lamb alittle and possible darken the color or at least take off some of the shine. I have used fullers earth in the past, but i was looking for something more permanent!

Well, Pecards will darken it, yes, but it's not for distressing. If anything, it will maintain the shine, so if you're planning on doing some distressing, you may want to do some more reading in this section before any application of anything to your new jacket.

O.K. just like many of you I'm sure, I'm nervous about distressing my jacket, because I don't want to ruin it!

After a little research let me run the sequence of events by you guys for a wested lambskin! Before I do it!

1. Give it a cold water bath!

2. Wrinkle it up and let it dry!

3. Apply some rubbing alcohol to the jacket

4. Put some Pecards lotion on it for color, use brown pecards if you want to correct to much distressing!

Am I even close to correct about this?

That's the same sequence I used, although I didn'r use rubbing alcohol. It worked great for me.
