Wested Leather Weight

Post by majman »

I'm hoping someone can help me, about 4 months ago purchased a Wested pre-distressed hide (Novapelle) jacket and it is fabulous - I love it. It is perfectly made and it is great to wear here in the UK where it has been fairly chilly recently.

However I will soon be moving to Australia and while the pre-distressed hide will be good in the winter I can't imagine I'll get too much wear out of it in the warmer months.

So I'm thinking of getting another Wested, but in a lighter weight hide. Can someone tell me the order of the weights of the hides offered by Wested, and what do people recomend for a jacket for warmer climes.

Thanks for your help.

Hey...I would go with the wested special offer ROTLA it is much more light weight and thinner...

or you can go with Todd's wich is a very thin jacket...

For heaven's sake... Australia ain't that hot.... depends where you end up. I can wear a bullet proof, heavy goat Wested for at least 7 months of the year. Sometimes I need to wear a jumper/jersey with it.
