Hey Guys
I dont know where to search but I want to buy a good thick indy shirt thats durable!! out of all the makers which makes the best quality?? send me the links!! please! let me kno if they are all made similar to a dress shirt material! thank you
I'd say if you want a really screen-accurate, but tough shirt, go for the Indy Magnoli shirt. Very accurate, and it's tough enough for either dress or adventure. :junior: -IJ
I second the notion of Magnoli. The material is thicker than Wested, AB, and NH, but still has the right look. Very well put together. He might even be able to get you a tougher fabric than normal. It can't hurt to ask.
I third the Magnoli shirt. I've owned a wested and a Magnoli and I gotta recommend the Magnoli. The material was considerably nicer IMO, not to mention made to measure. And I agree with Chewy, drop Magnoli an email, he may have some other options for you.
I guess I'll jump in and fourth the Magnoli. Solid construction, good weight to the fabric, and a great fit. I recommend that shirt highly. I don't have any others to compare with, just very happy with the one I have.
Haven't had a chance to wear it in the summer yet to be honest...I'd estimate it's about as warm as your average dress shirt. Also it helps if you roll up the sleeves and leave the top few buttons undone ala this:
Although maybe with not QUITE as much chest showing. :junior: -IJ

Its not a real "warm" shirt. I worn mine last summer in the heat and nasty humid weather in southern Louisiana and it wasn't bad at all, just about the same as any other shirt. It's not like it is a heavy denim shirt, it is very wearable in the heat. Hope that helps.

Surprisingly NOT warm! I can't stand the heat... I sweat at 72 degree F. I wore my Magnoli shirt in an August heatwave at last years Finger Lakes Summit in NY, and I can honestly say that it felt no warmer than any of the short sleeve shirts I wore that weekend. That's another big reason I like it. Oh, and it's not clingy, like some shirts are when you get sweaty.
