Ok, ok, I'm here. Haven't been around much lately. When I got my Squatter, I measured it, but not too carefully. Mine was probably close to 5 1/2" tall, best I could tell. Definitely not over that. Maybe 5 3/8"....how's that? I think it has the potential to make a killer Indy hat. Now, the center crease can't be quite as deep as you may be used to, but with the one I had at least, it had an AWESOME bell/reverse taper shape as it came. I may have just lucked out on this one (about time I luck out on something!).
Anybody have a custom made with a lower crown- 5- 5 1/4 inch

Even still, after wearing the hat quite a bit, rain and shine, it is about 4 1/2" high at the front pinch, and 4 3/4" high center sides. It has lost a good bit of its bell shape...not so much from shrinkage, but from the center crease inexorably sinking down, drawing the sides in with it. My center crease is definitely deeper than it was when I first did it. And it is HARD to push back out. One of the reasons I have converted to the "diamond" crease.
I've been wearing this hat lately:
My Bailey western "5x Beaver" hat ($39 on Ebay) that I converted to '30's-40's fedora style. Absolutely my most favorite hat. Ever.
After this, my Squatter looks so small on me now.

I don't think it has really shrunk on me. It has lost a lot of its "volume" from the center dent sinking down. I've tried pushing and steaming and all, trying to get that dent back out, with no real effect. Maybe I can soak it and reshape it... Once it goes down, it doesn't want to come back up.
When I pop the crease out, it still has plenty of volume and bulbousness, so the hat really hasn't shrunk. Not much anyway. Don't have any new photos of it right now. It's sitting in one of my many hatboxes stacked in the corner...
