There is also a good pic of the heels here: http://www.theraider.net/showimage.php? ... er_050.jpg
Interesting little mystery. Montello Heel Manufacturing of Brockton, Massachusetts makes Indy's distinctively curved Trubalance Last heels. According to this, http://www.manta.com/coms2/dnbcompany_cgpmn the company was established in 1981. I wonder where Alden had their boot heels made prior to that?

i paid close attention to the gear in my second viewing of the movie (which is better than the first btw....i truly recommend it for all the people that felt let down on the first go).
indy's boots are the dark brown boots that you see throughout the trilogy.....these are just very scuffed (maybe not as much as TOD). the scene where indy gets thrown onto the pavement at the beginning of the movie will show the boots distressing quite nicely. all of the light brown stuff is pretty much just scuff marks...now, where did i put my sandpaper

Actually, I'm not so sure about them being old stock Aldens. Indoors, current Aldens look brown, but when you put them outdoors they're reddish. Most of the movie, the boots are caked in mud, especially around the toe, but at the end of the movie when they *SPOILER* get out of the city through that tunnel and they're totally soaked *END SPOILER* you can see the Aldens and they're quite red.

Guys, this is reallllly easy to solve....just go to the first KoTCS trailer (in HD preferably) and push pause on Harrison Ford sitting in the truck with the Russians after he swings backwards from his miscalculated whip swing...his leg is up in the air with the bottom of his shoe clearly visible to the camera...I've owned a pair of Alden 405's the past year and I can tell you that the black heel of that shoe matched my Alden's heel....the HD trailer you can clearly see the divot holes around the edges of the black heel too...my first viewing of the HD trailer back in February I was like, Yup, those are my Aldens!
