Who has a Wested Dark Brown Lamb?

Post by Guardian Devil »

I was going to order a Dark Brown lamb skin raiders style jacket from wested a few months ago, but was told by Gemma that the dark brown lamb looked practically black and I may be disappointed.
So I changed it to a dark brown Cow LC style and although I couldn't be happier with the newest jacket I have. I can't help but think about the Wested that got away!
So I'm considering ordering this jacket again and just wondered who has a Raiders in dark brown lamb and what your opinions were?

I have a dark brown temple and it doesn't look black to anyone who's ever seen it.

If you can swing it, get one. You'll be happy. I personally like how the darker color looks better.

Two Westeds is better than one!

Well, I got one LC Dark brown lamb. I looks dark, but not black. It drapes beautiful, sometimes looking like the ToD version, which appears darker in the movies too. Afterall, it depends on the light. It appears darker in rooms without daylight, but not black at all. Outside, it's a nice dark brown. If you add some years and wear to add, the color will be brighter.
Regards :D

I've got the Raiders in dark brown lamb and love it! It doesn't look black at all, looks like Indy's jacket does in the darker scenes.

I too have a Wested DB lamb and unless Wested is using a different hide, it does not look black at all. IMO it looks more like a hersheys bar color and seems to be a more SA color than AB. I also have a predistressed cow that has been treated w/ Pecard's. Two is the way the way to go or three if you want to get it in HH.

The dark brown CAN look black, but it really depends on the light (or the lack there-of). Still, it won't look like a true black, and I have only seen the "black" effect twice - once on a lamb, once on a goat. Abd the lighting was very poor.

Got both authentic brown lambskin Raiders and the dark brown one, latter one does not look black at all, just a bit darker than the authentic one... I can take & post pics if wanted.
