I've had my special offer ROtLA Wested for about a month now and I love it.
It's my first Indy jacket so I've nothing to compare it to but I think it's a great value.
Here are some pics of it brand new and some of it after mild distressing.

The "special offer" jacket from Wested seems to be an off the rack Raiders jacket that is slightly less expensive than the standard version. The Wested web site has a pic and description of what makes it different than the standard. I chose it as my first Indy jacket as it offered most all of the features I would have specified in a custom order.

wow Tron that is one sweet looking jacket.I love the way it hangs on you!!
the reason why I started this thread is because I expect my 42 ROTLA jacket any time soon and I wanted to see first how it looks in real life....

the wested ROTLA jacket is the screen accurate jacket.at least that is what Peter told me.

I said to Peter and Gemma I wanted the most SA jacket and they said go with the ROTLA jacket.

this is copy pasted from westeds site.it's info on the ROLA jacket

This special offer comes in soft 'Authentic' brown lambskin

This authentic copy from 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' specifications include two-way pockets, action pleats for arm movement, side vents,

Unlike the Standard raiders which has slight modification to make it durable and street wearable this 'film jacket' although equally wearable is more lightweight.

There are no inside leather facings, the body is slimmer and the sleeves more tapered. The zip is a smaller 5 gauge nickel and the action pleat depth is narrower with two piped inside pockets.

it's kinda like an 80's cut I think since it's a little slimmer in the body

what is your height Tron?and what sz is your jacket?

Thanks Holt, as I said, I'm very happy with the jacket.
Of course everyone around here has their own idea of which jacket is most screen accurate, but the "special offer" is definitely a nice compromise.
As for the size, it's a 40 and I stand a towering 5'7'' (without the hat).

I believe I read a quote from peter that said the ROLA spec ofer jacket was the longer TOD length.

Could one of you who have one of these jackets measure the back length for me please?

Measure from the bottom of the back to the seam where the collar stand meets the Yoke (top of shoulder)

Thanks!!!

The back is cut a little longer on the 'Spec' jacket, but not a whole lot. The leather is nice, but not quite the same quality as the standard jacket. The leather also appears to be a little thinner, although still plenty tough enough for most urban adventurers. It distresses naturally very easily. I like mine. I own both kinds. I'll try to get some pics up this week.

This jacket looks right on you, Tron. Well done.

Are they still available?
I'm searching the Wested site as I type...
I assume it's not their 'standard' jacket.

Yeah, I don't think they are available anymore- I can't seem to find them anywhere on Wested's website.

If you click on the Wested option instead of the Indy Jacket option you will open up a page that shows Indy as well as 007, X-Men etc. This is where you find the "special offer" ROLA jackets as well as other options not shown on the Indy Jacket page. (not sure this makes sense, but it's there!)

It's not on the Indy jacket website but I found it on the main site: http://www.ekmpowershop4.com/ekmps/shop ... n-70-p.asp

I think it's Wested's thinner movie jacket that would be somewhat analogous to Todd's jackets. I've wondered about them and from the photos they do look great.
