My Bernie Bullwhip

Post by Gary2880 »

First post

Recently got a 10ft 12 plait kangaroo bullwhip from Bernie W. Really happy with it. only had 4 outings with it so far, my friend runs a local theater so the 4th try i did it on the stage and was getting some really great cracks with it, helped by the echo no doubt. really fun. As soon as i found out that it was breaking the sound barrier when it cracked i really wanted a whip. To think that i broke the sound barrier like over 25 times in the theater i find really awesome. Only been doing it 4 times i say but already got the circus crack one quite well. I can only do that one at the moment, i'd like to do the forward throw that Bernie shows in his DVD but i'm afraid i keep hitting myself with that one at the moment, or wrapping it round my neck. practice makes perfect though. Anyway heres a picture. hope you like it.

Looking great.

I have a 10-ft from Bernie as well, and I am very saticefied with it.

--- beware for remarks regarding Your fedora. That Indy-pin sometimes
raise the worst in people inhere  ---

Best regards

Ah yes, cover my tracks before that starts then. i wanted a hat and whip, but could only afford a really good copy of one of them. and i plumped for the whip. so bought the hat for i think it was around £40 or so from a well known auction site.. I like the last crusade look more than the tight pinch of raiders and dont know enough about the fedora to know all its innacuracys so im reasonably chuffed with it for now. when funds are restocked i plan to get a last crusade one made propperly :D

Hi Gary, Welcome to Club Obi Wan

Very nice, Thats a great looking bullwhip and it more then makes up for the hat pin . I like the picture set up too, Bernie does really great work, we're very lucky to have him as an active member here.

Love the whip!
I don't mind the hat either. The pin is a nice touch from a memorabilia perspective (what it was made for), but don't get caught walking around with it on your noggin.
I got the circus, forward throw, and backwards cracks down pretty good, the overhead crack is killing me. I keep hitting myself on the left side of my face and ear... ](*,)

VERY nice! I bought a 6-foot EM Brand bullwhip a few years back, and it's fantastic. I have NEVER seen such glass-smooth plaiting before. Bernie does absolutely spectacular work. Enjoy! :D
