No, seriously, it's nice to see the man that made the hat wearing his OWN hat for a change.

"It's not the years, honey, it's the mileage..." ;)

And seriously Steve, remember our biggest hero is 66 :)

You look great and you should definitely change your avatar!

Great to finally see a photo of you Steve. I think it is a great photo especially considering you took it yourself. Hat maker and photographer! Oh and the new logo is very nice.

Nice pic, Steve. BTW, I'm another member of the "old coot" club. I'll beat you to 57 by a month.

Ah, good to know I am not alone here. May is a good month for me. My dad was born in May, my mom was born in May, I was born in May, and my oldest daughter was born in May, on my birthday! And Indy is coming out in May! Yeah, May is a great month for me.

My partner Marc Kitter on the other hand is but a kid! When he finally gets over here one day, I will just tell folks he is my son. :D I can see us doing the son and dad Indy routine from TLC. And I get to say the line that goes something like, " you left when you were getting interesting". Fedora

Great post, and very interesting video. That mustache got me - Granpa Jones. My son just came back from the movies where he saw his first Jones trailer - he told me they had gotten some other guy with a mustache to play the part. I don't think the 20 years really clicked with him, but the mention of the mustache surprised me until I saw this video.

Congrats to Steve and Marc  - great advert for you and some very nice things said about Steve!

It's nice to think that I will have The Hat with The Bash for The Premier.

Did anyone else go into instant drool mode at the shots of the wardrobe racks? ](*,)

Oh, if I could only have one of those jackets. Problem is, they most likely wouldn't fit me, but I'll take one just the same. :)

Cheers!

Wow Fedora (Steve) that's a really great looking Indy hat. I can see why your hats are in the new movie.

What else is there to say other than I hold a piece of history, and the two most modest guys deserve this. Thanks.

All raise your glasses to Steve & Marc!

Steve,

None of my friends believed me when I told them I've known about this guy since before IJ4 was even announced! I can't wait until I get my hat and can boast even a little bit more! ;)

Now wait, what are you doing on here? Get back out to the workshop, there's hats to be made! :D  Just kiddin' of course.

I've been remiss in not yet adding my congratulations to Marc and Steve of Adventurebilt Hat Company, on the occasion of the announcement to the world (on IndianaJones.com no less) that Indiana Jones Chooses Aventurebilt Hats ! Well done gentlemen! Your place in cinematic history is secured, and you've brought more than a bit of movie magic to Club Obi Wan.

With all admiration,

Johnny
Now, will somebody please explain to my wife that although I know I just got my HJ a few months ago, I need an Adventurebilt Hat?! She just refuses to understand. Help...Bink? BendingOak? Fedora? Anybody?

without being preachy, or naming names, or pointing fingers... or nothing... regardless ofthe previous posts... this has been brewing in my head for a while... and I need to get it out.

I'm thrilled to be this close to something so connected to the film... it means a lot to me... and I am slightly embarassed at my emotional connection to the impending ownership of one of AB's wonderous hats. Since I first saw Raiders, I've been looking for a touchstone... something that would connect me to the mythos. I got a couple of props... I got the Disney official jacket... but these didn't have the magic in them.

This past month, I got to draw sketch cards for an OFFICIAL Indy set... my work... getting approved ( pending ) from Lucasfilm, to be a tiny part of the mythos... it was magic... it IS magic... but it's not THE magic.

This thing here... this hat... THIS is the magic. Crafted with the same loving care as they have been since Adventurebuilt's inception... recognized by The Creators as the BEST out there... the only ones worthy of sitting atop our hero's head... this hat will be the magic. I'm tingling with anticipation... I've probably bugged Steve far too much about checking in... making sure... double checking... when I know in my heart that everything's ok... it's in THE RIGHT hands. I want that magic to be unsullied... I want it to be lofty. I don't want it to be about bragging rights.

I was talking to a friend about Indy... he's a fan... but not one of us. It never touched him that close. He was saying that he had the same hat as Indy, and as we chatted it soon became apparant that he didn't. He had some cowboy like hat that he had forever and that he loved and it was his "indy hat", and in the back of my mind, the smugness reared up and wanted to bleat out "oh no, my friend... I KNOW about the Indy hats... and soon I'LL HAVE THE Indy hat... you know NOTHING!!!!" but I knocked it back down, and let it be. He was happy with his hat. Who cared. His piece of magic was intact, and soon mine will be too.

That's what I want it to be. Personal... small... heartfelt.

I don't know if this is communicated to Steve and Marc properly. I don't know them. We're not friends. I know of him... I chat and have done business with Steve... but we're not on terms where I can bare my soul and honestly let him know what this means. After all... I'm one of many. One of a long line of people bugging and nagging and waiting and watching the mail.

Another hat to make for him... but one intense piece of magic for me.

Sorry about the ramble... but please know that it's heartfelt.

I am patient.

I am giddy with anticipation.

I am humbly and truely honoured, and am hoping that people feel the same.

-r!

I think what you mean to say is that we are simply passing through history, but this (AB hat)... this is history!

Congrats, "Steven" . ..... As Ford commented on the hat, he seemed tickled to be in gear, making another Indiana Jones.

This video is awesome. It reminds me that it's not the Man with the Jacket, or the Man with the Whip, but THE Man with THE Hat. Steve and Marc, you guys must be the happiest Indy fans on the planet.

I finally got to see both the hat/jacket video and the trailer today. I felt the chill as Ford picked up the fallen hat and we saw his silhouette against the car. Congratulations to Steve & Marc! The honor certainly is well deserved. Y'all are our own Horatio Alger story.

Wow! Congrats Steve. I am very happy for you. I received one of your adventurebilt hats when you first started up. I havent been around lately, but I remember the research and rumblings way back when.

It is surreal that your hat is now worn by HF. That is some feather in your cap! I am honored to own such a lid.

I hope you and Marc keep up the great work...
