Hey everyone,
I forgot about pollen season here in GA and got my DM covered in the stuff. I have used a lightly dampened washcloth to remove the bulk of the grit, but what should I use to get the stuff in the corners of the braiding?
If Oral-B can do this for our teeth, someone on this board must know the best way to get at those hard to reach places with a bullwhip...
What's the most thorough cleaning method for this kind of problem?
Thanks,
Mike

Yep, you are missed here French.
Back to topic, yes the toothbrush technique works for those hard to reach places. I do it all the time, when those sleezy pieces of slimy dirt, grass really get embedded just like those journalists in Iraq. Whoops, back to topic. Yes, toothbrush, works great.

Join the club, fellow cracker! I was just out yesterday and had the same problem. Glad to know I'm not alone. As you said, a dampened paper towel will take off the bulk of the stuff, but I've found that a nice, sharp toothpick will remove grass and other miscellaneous grit from the depths of whip braiding. Just make sure that you have a real toothpick, (one of the round ones with sharp tips) not the cheap flat ones, and please work carefully, as you don't want to scratch the leather. Sometimes a bit of wet paper towel wrapped around the toothpick will pick up dust like a Bissell. Hope this helps! )
