12plait natural tan roohide. It was actually made for a larger action figure.

Thank you. This was a one-off for a friend. It actually cracks - though not very loudly.

until i saw the 2nd photo, i thought.....man pagey....you can do better than that........THEN when i saw the scale of her, i thought....good god...i didn't think anyone could plait that small. beautiful work whiskeyman......hope the hands aren't all cramped up after that

Good job! There is nothing easy about miniatures. Here is one that is a few years old. This one is 12 plait. The 8 plait point is just under 1/8" in diameter.

And good LORD, Joe! That's fantastic! Even the cracker is minature... lol look how tightly wound it is!

Pagey, yours is also very good - and it is your first miniature, right? I'm sure you could do one like Joe's if you were crazy enough to make a whole bunch of them to get practice.

Do you have a picture of the whip with the figure it was made for?

The length is about 30 inches plus fall. I didn't have a splitter so everything is split by hand. I'm not sure of how long it took to make because I worked on it off and on for a while.

Those are cool. I got a bag of scrap leather when I went to Mr. Morgan's store, and made a couple of mini whips one is 6 plait roo 17 in. and a 12 in. 8 plait both are measured from the end to the fall hitch, and both crack well.
