Well, being stuck for 2 weeks in the most boring place in the country, Idabel, OK (apologies to anyone from there) for my job, I finally decided I'd do something about the brim of my Akubra that I always thought was a little too wide for my face. A quick trip to Wal-Mart produced a compass, ruler, fabric chalk, 150 grit sand paper, and scissors for a total of $10. A quick shot of vodka and fifteen minutes later I had a much nicer proportioned fed dlx.

Perfect! It really was super easy. For anyone thinking about doing it don't worry, just try to cut in as a continuous motion as possible. Just 1/8'' was all it took!
