Close Enough boots... I got for Christmas!

Post by KingNothing »

I just got this pair of boots for Christmas! Was totally not expecting them, and bam. I think they might just work as some close enoughs. They're Clarks. Dunno if these have been discussed yet, but I like them. Plus they have a darker distressed brown look. The camera washes away that in the pics. And they are comfy as heck!!

Clarks are very well made shoes! I'm not surprised in the least that they're comfortable. I think they make a #### fine pair of close enoughs. Besides the rugged soles will be much better trekking through real life than the smooth soled Aldens.

Those look a little like the Alden Chukka boots, which I want to pick up eventually. (Planning on some 1936-pattern RAF boots first though.)

Indeed. A couple of weeks ago I was wearing my Aldens and wondered if I should walk to the mailbox, or skate! (Also watch out for wet floors.)

Yeah I love the grip these have. Especially when it's snow and ice for 6 months of the year. Maybe more. They seem to be a bit more functional than Aldens, but I don't have a pair yet so we'll see when I get around to ordering those bad boys.
