Santa brought me a Todd's custom
Hey!
Yesterday I received the christmas present I've bought to myself, a Todd's custom jacket in cow hide. It is a beautiful jacket and the fit is perfect just like my Wested in horse hide. But I can move much better in the Todd jacket since it has much smaller arm holes. I can see how you can use a whip in this jacket, in my Wested it would be impossible since I can't move my arms like that in it. An 80's fit might be the remedy for that.
I was surprised about how thin the cow hide was so I wonder how thin the lamb must be... like a tissue paper? The color is a dark brown in a redish kind of way, chocolate colored might be a good name for it.
All the SA details are there and since it's pretty thin it drapes very nice and the length of it is just perfect so thanks Todd and your team for a job very well done!
Hmm... two Indy jacket in like two months... what have this forum turned me into?
Ok, before anyone complains, here are some pictures...
Laying flat on the floor:
A close up of the gusset:
From behind. You might not see it but the back of the collar is in one piece:
A close up of the pocket and the zipper:
My two jackets:
Oh, one more thing: Merry christmas and a happy new year to you all!!

thanks for sharing labbas! that jacket is just begging to be put into the real world and naturally aged.....she looks way too new at the moment but i'm sure you'll fix that, all right
it sounds like todd had his hands full this month.....i've been seeing these jackets pop up everywhere as of late.
my cow jacket is in transit as we speak. i am especially looking forward to this one due to the sizing specs that i sent him........if todd is correct about how he built my upcoming jacket, the only thing left that would give you a better fit is a "spray on raiders-in-a-can jacket"

Thanks for the kind words guys! And don't worry, I'm doing my best to get that new shine off the jacket by natural distressing!
I'll try to get a picture or two with me wearing it.
Indiana G: You have ordered yet another jacket? Now I'm really curious what you are up to this time. I thought the prewashed lamb was perfection?

Yes he does. And if I'm not misstaken he did that before the standard jackets. Here's the link http://toddscostumes.com/indy/jackets/i ... jacket.htmStrider wrote:In your thread's title, you said a "todd's custom." Is Todd doing custom measurement jackets now?

Well thats basically why he has the standards for sale, they're easy to produce in mass, as for the custom has to be handmade, and since he's not a vendor who specializes in leather jackets like Peter mostly this is really time consuming.Strider wrote:Ah, for the low low price of 500$.
