US Wings Cowhide jacket!

Post by riothamus »

I just received the US Wings cowhide jacket I won on eBay! It looks and fits great! The seller listed it as a A-2 flight jacket XL long but I could tell by the picture it was really an Indy jacket. It is actually a XXL long, but it still fits great! One more reason that I am glad I got one from someone who posted measurements. I couldn't get US Wings to give me an actual jacket measurement. They just sent me a standard set of sizes. I'll post pics of the jacket later this week!

Excelsior!

Hello. Just curious about the sizing as I am interested in the same jacket. Does the tag state it is an XXL and the seller on ebay simply listed it wrong, or it an XL and improperly sized? I have read all the posts about US Wings foreign made jackets with sizing issues and wondered if they applied to the Signature/VIP line.

I normally wear an XXl, so hopefully they are true to size. I too contacted US Wings and asked questions but was only sent a copy of the sizing chart.

One more quick question. On the website, the dark brown looks black to me. Is this just a poor photo and it really is dark brown?

Now hurry up and post those pictures!

U.S. Wings is worthless. I've tried to buy three jackets from them and had to send them all back. Their sizes are screwed up. The last one was a 'Cockpit' G-8. I wear a 44 suit coat so i ordered a 44 last year which swamped me. This year I tried again with a 42 and it was still too big and the sleeves too long. They don't have a 'short' size. The leather and tailoring was a huge disappointment after owning a Wested. Plus, the ### zipper was so stiff I could hardly budge it. At least they're honest and prompt with refunds. I believe you can get a better jacket for $400.

Glad to hear you're pleased with your jacket, Rio.

I've never had a single problem with any of my jackets, including the zippers or sizing, so as you can tell, you have both ends of the spectrum when it comes to opinions on their products. Very few are in the grey area.
