Just had to post some pics. I also put my worn pair in there too for comparisons. Enjoy...

Thanks for all the compliments guys...always fun to be able to share new gear with everyone
14D is as big as they come unfortunatly. I have always had problems finding shoes. Luckily i my foot is wider instead of longer. If i could find a wider size i could probably go with a 13, but the extra length helps make up for some of the width. To answer your question...yes they are roomy enough for me. I wear them every day to work once they got broke in they actually made some really nice work boots. Before making any decisions though i would contact the Alden Company and ask them any questions you might have about the boot. I had the EXACT same question before i bought mine and the employees there really made me feel quite a bit more comfortable with making the purchase. Sorry, i dont have a name for the contact, but i am sure some of the other guys here might be able to supply that info to ya if they read up on this thread.gotjones? wrote:Really great looking shoes there! Am I reading correctly, that those are size 14 D? I've been having trouble finding Aldens in 14 E, wondered if the 14 D's would fit me. Do they seem roomy enough?

My Aldens were sitting on the coffee table Friday. (Finally got some conditioner -- Red Wings, which someone posted is made by Pecard.) So far, so good! I don't wear my hat in my bedroom, so I haven't really had an opportunity to throw it on the bed. Once a friend (who said she's a witch) advised me not to go flying. I did. And just to make sure, I made thirteen touch-and-goes.nicktheguy wrote:I'm glad to see other people are are superstitious as I am

Ah. Well, in any case it seems to have done a good job on the boots. They feel nice and soft and didn't darken noticeably.Michaelson wrote:That would have been me, and it was the boot oil that's made by Pecards, not necessarily the conditioner.
I'm thinking of using it on my RAF Type B flying helmet. Gotta keep that protected!
(Incidentally, if anyone knows where I can find a replacement earcup zipper for the Type B I could use one.)
