How to quickly stretch a hat?

Post by Neolithic »

Guys,
I'm off to Peru for a month next week (whoo!).

I've ordered a hat stretcher, but it's not going to arrive in time. I'd like to be able to stretch my AB a little before I leave... is there a good way of doing this at all?

I have to say no, not a good way. The hat stratcher is the good way of doing it.

Oak is right, especially with a good hat. You don't want to mess around.

Your better Western Wear store will often have a block head stretcher with steam.

I would just grab the sweat fore and aft and tug. I don't think you will hurt the hat. But, a hat stretcher is better. Fedora

Yep, I have stretched some Akubras over my knee to loosen it up a bit.
