Custom made label
Anyone has asked for this custom label offered by Wested?
I mean this one here:
I'd like to see a photo of how the real thing looks like.
Please.

I always request one when I order from Wested, although to be honest, I'd personally prefer something more professional looking... as in maybe having the letters stitched directly onto the liner like you'd see on a suit jacket.
As it is, just imagine a black rectangle, with the words printed on it in white in the same font as the picture above. The edges make a zigzag kinda pattern (imagine a shark with a rectangular mouth took a bite out of the label), and there you have it.

Here's the picture of my custom label. I didn't originally request a custom label, though. When I had first ordered it, I waited patiently for 6 weeks with no response from Wested. When I contacted Wested, it turns out my order was misplaced and forgotten (They didn't use these terms but it might as well have been). So, I had to place another order. Then when my order was shipped, the United States Postal Service did not leave a delivery notice at all.
My only contact points were the Wested customer rep and Parcelforce.com. When I checked the status of my shipment on Parcelforce.com, it stated that there was an attempted delivery at a particular morning and a delivery notice was left. Now, on that particular morning, someone was home and there was no delivery notice whatsoever. So, I contacted Parcelforce via e-mail and after two days I got a response telling me to contact USPS. At the time, I thought my order was being shipped solely by Parcelforce. By this time it has been 4 days since the attempted delivery and when I called the USPS, they told me that they had shipped it back (USPS express mail are returned after after 1 week). At this point, my award-winning patience pretty much fizzled out. I was seeing red for two whole hours.
Well, anyway the next day I got that missing delivery notice in my mailbox. It turns out the package was sitting at my local post office for a whole week. When I finally received it, I noticed the collar was the wrong size (I had ordered the LC jacket), it was not predistressed, and it was missing the entire inside pocket. So, when I returned the jacket, I thought to myself "Why not request a custom label as well?"
Aside from the USPS problem, I was very happy with my order. As you can see in the picture below, the label is faded. The faded label, including the faded line in the middle, came standard.

Since I ordered a custom jacket from Wested, I expected a custom label. What I got was a size tag of my chest measurement, which make me think it looks like it's an off the rack model. I would expect a custom order to have the label without having to request it separately, and an off the rack version to have a sizing tag.

I have wondered the same thing, and am assuming that maybe this is just a backup measure on Wested's part in case the jackets get returned for an exchange, in which case they can hang them up on a rack for sale?Indiana MarkVII wrote:I got a size tag of my chest measurement, which make me think it looks like it's an off the rack model.
