I received a couple of new whips this week and wanted to share. The first is an 8 foot Morgan that was made in 2003, and it is the best cracking Morgan whip I've cracked yet. It even still has the original fall and popper. Here's a couple of pics that I was sent:
I will snap a couple myself when I get the chance, perhaps next to my 10 foot.
The other whip I got in yesterday is an extremely beautiful whip made by Chris Barr. It is a 48 plait handle 32 strand thong two tone stock whip. It is a true work of art!
Great Job Chris!!! Both of these whips will be cherished in my collection for a long time. )

Cracker,
The pictures really don't do it justice. The strands on the thong are 2mm at the widest and right about 1 or 1.5mm at the thinnest. Absolutely magnificent!

The knot on that Morgan looks HUGE, but it could just be the angle that the pictures were taken. That IS a nice looking Morgan.
One of the best looking recent Morgan's I've seen, and I look forward to the chance of giving it a throw, (I've never cracked a David Morgan whip that I REALLY liked.)
I would like to see some diameter comparisons to that 10 foot Morgan you have, Paul. That 10 foot whip just looks and feels clunky to me. This one looks far more balanced and fluid, (you said it was well balanced the other day.)
And the Chris Barr whip! Woah! That is BEAUTIFUL! Cecil Henderson eat your heart out! When you take pictures, I want to see a closer shot of that grapevine lash around the keeper! Absolutely stunning.
Happy cracking Paul!
