Looks good. . . .

I can't but did you skive the edges? That seems like some thick hide, what's the weight of it? Be sure to roll it between layers, it'll help make it more uniform.

Be sure to post pictures of your whip when you get it finished.

Here's my first whip:

It was made from Ron Edward's book.

Here's an 8 foot I finished last week:

I think someone else mentioned this, but be sure to roll your whips between layer it you want it to end up nice and round and smooth (unlike my first whip)

ydam, thanks for the kind words. Most of it was from David Morgans and Edwards books. I did spend some time with Mr. Morgan when I visited with him a few months ago. Nick aka Pagey has been very helpfull to me.

Herr Jones, It is some think hide and I don't really know. My next will be Roo hide and I can tell already how much mmore I'm going to like working wit it. I did rool her but maybe not well or long enough.

Thanks Canyon.

Thanks cracker.

louifoxx, thanks for the kind words and for sharing your pics. It make me feel hopefull that with some time and effort there will be some improvment.

again thanks everyone for the kind words.

Bending Oak,

I'll be in your area in February performing at a comedy club in beaverton (dont' remember the name, it just opened/is opening) for four days. I'll let you know when I have more info and if you want to can go crack whips somewhere.

xoxo
