Well as of the 15th of Oct my jacket hasn't arrived and now Gemma is trying to get Parcel Force to track it down    It's been a week almost and Parcel Force hasn't let them know anything

This waiting is killing me, I just want my jacket.

Order placed: Thurs, Sept. 27
Confirmation Received: Thurs, Sept. 28
Received: Friday, Oct. 19

It was a standard off the rack, size 38. But they didn't have any in stock, so they had to make it. Must say, I'm blown away by the shipping speed and of course, the Jacket is awesome!

Well I just found out that the jacket I ordered, which was shipped on Oct 5th has been lost by Parcel Force in their warehouse    . So Gemma has told me today that they will make me a new one and ship it out...so much for making sure I get my jacket for Halloween    It's just not the same dressing up without the jacket.

So Indiana G, I guess we won't be able to put the beat down on any custom officers.

Well I'm gonna go cry into my fedora for a while

i truly am sorry to hear that lurch. i believe that wested fully insures the value so i am sure that they will be reapping parcel force's overhead account......the problem is is that does not help you any.

have you tried getting one of todd's standard jacket's? they should be able to get you one before halloween and they are a bargain basement price of only $149. hopefully you can dig deep in your pockets for this "halloween emergency".

I placed my custom order on October 16th (by phone). I did see that my credit card was charged so I believe my order is moving forward. Will I receive any kind of confirmation when my jacket is finished or shipped? Or will the jacket just arrive sometime after the 21 days I was told it would take to make it?

I didn't get a shipping notice from Wested, and I don't know of anyone who ever has... so don't expect one. However, if you're talking about Todd's (his jackets were just mentioned, after all), then yes, you'll get a shipping notice.

Sorry I should have been more clear. I ordered a Wested.

My order does feel like an odd leap of faith. Because of our respective locations (Kent and Nevada) I had to make a very early in the morning call (my time) to get a phone order in during their hours. I spoke to a girl who was clearly ready to go home and not particularly happy to hear from me. I placed my order and gave them my CC #. I sent an email later that day which was never responded to. I called the next day (I think) and was told it was processing. Other than my card being charged I have no information to prove the transaction occurred. I don't have an order #. Apparently I won't be called or emailed anywhere along the way. Frankly, if it wasn't for this board and the # of people who have successfully received their jackets I doubt I would have placed an order with a company with such questionable communication.

Well indy13 you could do what I did, wait about a week and if you don't hear from them, start emailing every day until you get a response. That's the only way I got an order number and found out that it had been shipped. Which was a good thing as if I hadn't then I would not have found out that it was lost.

I'll keep my fingers and whip crossed for you

Having read this posting I decided to look into this and it has taken some time to sort it as the only clue to your identity is Nevada.
Having looked through the orders I found yours which on the Address says Sparks, no state which I now find is in Nevada with no contact no and no email address.
It would appear that your order was taken by a member of staff who thought they were helping as Gemma was busy and I was in Italy but in the finish they did not take contact details and you did not give them .
I can find no trace of your email.
I can understand people wanting to phone in their order but a properly filled in order form gets an email reply confirming the order no and processing and the proof is in Black & White and there is no argument as to what was ordered.
When the order is despatched with the email address on it a notification is automatically sent by Parcelforce, no email address no notice.
Contrary to what Bufflehead says plenty have had this and there are postings to that effect.
I would also add for those who keep waving the stick that we are sending out more than 150 items a week, most of them jackets and in the last month we have had 6 returns 3 of which were wrong size ordered.
In the last 3 months 16. Last 6 Months 2600 sent 28 returned for various reasons. So although it may seem on COW that we have a lot on a ratio basis we have very few compared to others who have a very low production and still get returns. Nobody is perfect.

That's all very well and good, but I still don't have the 4 sliders I was promised for my stonewashed denim Indy-- I only received 2. And they were mailed to me one at a time. There's no excuse for service like that.

And 2 out of the 3 Wested jackets I've owned had serious problems either of inaccuracy or poor construction. Also, your claim of low returns probably doesn't reflect the true number of dissatisfied Wested customers; many overseas customers might decide to keep the defective merchandise they receive from Wested because they don't want to go through the hassle, expense and uncertainty of returning it.

There is nothing defective about the denim jacket just the sliders you wanted extra which have now sent two sets at our expence - no charge. You keep saying you have not received them. Surely you do not beleive we would send you a single slider and then when you say you only got 1 we send you 1 again. Are you telling the truth or is this just another knock Wested fairy tale or have you a postman with a fettish for sliders.
Gemma says the last lot of four she posted were fastened with sellotape.
If they are not getting to you it is NOT our fault. Was the packet damaged or tampered with? Is it a metal object in post thing? I dont know.
I do know they were posted two packs of four.
Shall we try again? PM me.

It took you almost 3 months to answer my last PM, which was a simple question you could have answered in a couple of words.

As for the sliders, I was not making a special request for them; it was you who said the D rings were mistakenly supplied with the denim jackets, and offered to send the slider replacements to anyone who asked for them.

Gemma claimed that she had sent me 6 sliders the first time, and that she was sending me 3 the second time-- not that she had sent me a set of 4 both times, as you are claiming.

All I know is I only received 2-- 1 in each envelope. Both envelopes were flimsy and had tiny corner tears; on the second envelope, the tape itself had been tampered with and part of the flap underneath the tape was torn.

I suppose it's possible that the identical mishap could have occured twice in a row; but I've never experienced a coincidence like that with my mail. We are blessed with one of the best and most conscientious mail carriers in our service area.

To be as fair as possible, my best Wested is the denim jacket, whether or not I ever get the correct number of replacement sliders for it; it is a fine jacket, perhaps a little oversized and, in my case, with sleeves that are slightly too long-- but those aren't really defects with off the rack clothing.

I can't recommend Wested to others at this time, though, because of the customer service difficulties I and others have had, and also because my previous 2 Westeds didn't "measure up"-- the right sleeve on one of them is 1/2" shorter than the left sleeve, for example; and there are other examples I could elaborate on, but won't.

Frankly, there are other vendors here who are now providing better (more screen accurate) jackets at affordable prices, along with vastly superior customer service-- at least, in my experience.

Same thing happened to me with my first Wested-luckily they ended up finding it. PF must be a pretty crappy parcel service :?.

Thank you for looking that up and I hope you received my contact info under the email you provided. Before placing my phone order I did try repeatedly to send it through the email on your website but I kept getting an error message saying the email was not found.

Also I did provide the contact info over the phone which included my full address and telephone #. I'm not sure why it wasn't in with the order.

Just in case other details were lost I ordered a size 38s 80's Raider's style jacket in authentic Lamb. I had the cotton liner with the satin sleeves. I added an extra interior pocket and the leather facing inside the collar. I told her that my sleeve length was 24" and that I wear a 15 1/2" to 16" neck on my dress shirts. Those are the details of the order that I recall. I'll put those order details in an email to you but I put them here in case the email doesn't make it's way to you. Thanks.

Ordered my Raiders HH jacket on September 24th by filling in the web form on their website. Got a order confirmation the same day.
Recieved it October 29th.

That's 26 working days and I didn't recieve a shipping notification.

The jacket is a perfect fit and I'm very happy with it!!

Sent two mails about some changes and Gemma replied to both of them.

But the under arm gussets I mailed about, and got a confirmation on, isn't on the jacket. But I don't care since the jacket is perfect besides that. :D
I'll probably order another jacket in lambskin or denim when the spring is around the corner to have a lighter jacket aswell.

Well I mailed Wested today, because I wanted to know how my jacket was coming along. I ordered it around the 7th of September! However they did not receive an order, but did receive the payment. So now I have to wait again. Luckily, I managed to put in some changes to my order and they were gonna put me on top of the list

Update: I ordered my custom Wested on October 16 and received it on Nov. 10.

And for the record it's beautiful and I'm very pleased. I've been doing some mild distressing on it (sorry Michaelson) so I'll try to post some pics when it's ready.

Aw heck, all this talk about Novapelle and the impending Indy movie got me psyched up enough to get what I'm hoping will be my FINAL Indy jacket... (although I'm most likely wrong, since I said that for each of my last 3 Indy jackets...) ;) Add me to that waiting list!

This time, I pulled out all the stops, and made a list so detailed and so minute that I can already hear the folks at Wested groaning and rolling their eyes...

Gah! I can't believe this... I seriously need therapy :(

Good Luck you guys,... I was just thinking how I'm glad not to be mixed up in a Wested communications nightmare. I no longer look forward to ordering a jacket from them.
