"Adventurer Hat" by Akubra?

Post by JulianK »

Ok so now I've officially joined the madness. I'm going to get myself a Fed or a Fed deluxe while waiting for my AB. However in searching the web, I found this at David Morgan's web site.

It says that it's coming December 15th. I've sent them an e-mail inquiring if it is in fact related to the Federations but I was wondering if anyone here knows anything about it? Curous though that the Akubra site doesn't even offer the Feds.

The Federation line is company specific to HatsDirect.com, so they will not show up on the Akubra listing of hats they make.

The Morgan Adventurer has nothing in common with the Federation line at all. If they imply they do, please let us know.

Thanks for clarifying Michaelson. The Adventurer falls almost exactly (price wise) between the Fed & the Fed deluxe so I'd be curious to know to which it would most closely compare to.

I think a person or two may have purchased this hat in its previous incarnation, when the brim was not so big. I do recall seeing a shot of this hat head-on on ebay, and quite frankly the hat has a pre-shaped blocking that looks nothing like an Indy fedora.

Also, among other things, the brim is WAY too wide.

Still haven't heard squat from David Morgan so I sprung for the Fed.
