It is bad enough that every brown leather jacket that is posted on ebay seems to be described as an "Indiana Jones" leather jacket, but now there is one claiming to be a Wested replica. Not a Wested, but a replica of a Wested. I applogize if this is someone here listing and I am offending you, but to me this is just wrong!

...playing the other side of the fense, which I'm usually doing (grins), let's say the bidder isn't ignorant. Let's say they don't have the dollars to afford even a Wested. Instead of having to start out with an A-2 (like most of us did), they can get hold of a fairly close duplicate to wear until they CAN afford a Wested. The bid started at $9.99. Hopefully it won't go much higher, and the bidder ends up with the jacket. It looks like a great starter jacket to me. Wish these had been available while my original search was going on. Let's not be tor hard on these folks. Not everybody can start out with the real thing. Regards. Michaelson

Probably the same thing I was doing kicking around in my Avirex A-2 and Stetson during the same time period.
