One of those days
Ever have one of those great days at work only to come home to find out your dog has eaten your 8ft Kangaroo whip. And not just nibbled....but its now missing 4ft. Yeah.....
I even stuck up a donation button for my friends. It's moments like this where you realize....my god I am a huge Indiana Jones dork! But we love it of course...and wouldn't have it any other way.

Bernie is a great guy to work with! You will not be unhappy with anything you get from him. He can give you whatever you want: overall length, color, handle length, handle pattern, whatever. He's the man who I bought my 10-foot Indy-style from. Try a search for Bernie. You'll see a lot of good feedback.

Good ideas!
All of these are good ideas...i thought maybe selling her into the dog sledding business would be an option. It's hard to blame a dog that from time to time runs into walls.
Ill post some pics of the poor dismembered whip later.

I have two whips from Bernie. A 10 ft. 12 plait indy whip, and a 8 ft. 16 plait. Both are great whips, and he's a good guy to do business with. Anything you want, he'll make. I couldn't be happier with the construction of his whips: Smooth and tight plaiting, etc., etc...Can't go wrong with the Bernie.

Re: Good ideas!
Do you give your dog rawhide bones or treats? I make sure my dog has plenty of things to chew on, and knows what are his and whats not. But I never give a dog rawhide, I think it teaches them it is ok to chew on leather.lonestriker wrote:All of these are good ideas...i thought maybe selling her into the dog sledding business would be an option. Ouch! If it makes you feel any better, it’s not the first time a dog has chewed up an expensive whip. It’s hard to blame the dog, after all whips are just another tasty treat full leathery goodness, besides how could you stay mad at such a cute face. I am curious to see the damage though.
At least now you have an excuse to get a new whip, just keep that one away from the dog.
Bernie Wojcicki at EM Brand whips is a very highly respected and talented whip maker, as well as a member of this site. You won’t go wrong with one of his whips.

Lonestriker,
I feel your pain about the whip, I just discovered that one of my cats pee'd on one of my whips! The thong has gotten swollen and really stinks!! Since I have two cat's I don't know which one is the one that dislikes my whips.
Luckily for me it was a whip that I made, so I'm out time more time than money
xoxo

Great News
Great news I finally bit the bullet and got on the list to purchase one of Bernie's whips from down in Tasmania. Ive had one since I was ten and after the dog ate mine I couldn't live without one. Only a 20 week wait though!!
Re: EM Brand anyone?
