ALERT ALL INDIANA AND WESTED FAITHFUL

Post by Indy4ever »

Ok INDIANA JONES FELLOW FRIENDS, I am close to getting my first wested Jacket from Wested, and I need some help. I have a few questions if some of you are able to answer them.

What is the average Price for a Indywested jacket like the finaly price after shipping and everything?

Second question is simply which style of jacket raider, temple of doom, Last crusade: which leather, and other tidbits would be best to have on a jacket.

Thank you very much.

Question:One
$272 with shipping and customs for the jacket.

Question:Two
That really depends on what you want in your jacket, lot's of factors determine choice such as comfort, style, leather, screen accurate, etc. The best is whatever you finally decide on and can live with. I am sure many here can tell you that their first wested order was one made after alot of thought and reflection. I guess a good place to start is what movie you like the best, then go with a certain part in the movie, which made you say "WOW! I want a jacket like that one", then think about theleather, and what kind of situations the jacket will be put through.

Many of out there are still on the quest for the perfect jacket, to some it has been realized, but good luck on yours,

All the best,
Stefan

I ordered my first Wested two weeks ago, and I was pretty overwhelmed with all the decisions there were to choose from. I agree with Stefan Hills. It all depends on what your looking for in terms of the movie. I liked the Raiders style, because I hate jackets that are too low. I thought the hardest part was picking the type of leather. I was deciding on dark brown lamb or authentic lamb, and after a while of pondering and talking to MK, I went with the authentic brown lambskin. The dark brown lambskin was the one used in the movies, however Ive heard it wasnt very durable. Also what Indiana Joe posted would be the best way to do it. Look at what people had on their jackets, pick and choose what you want on yours. Hopefully ill get my jacket in 2 weeks so Ill be posting some pictures. One more thing. If you can, id call and order the jacket. After talking with Peter and asking him questions it helped me with most of the hard decisions.

Good luck on the research,

Atticus

Something to expect, though....I ordered my second Wested in December. 3 months later, I got a bill from some Customs place for $130.00!!!!!! (Cdn..about $20 US) So expect a bill a little later for customs. This has been my experiences, anyway.

lucky....

I wonder, they misspelled my name.... entire first and last....
it is way off, adding 5 extra letters to my last name.

should I still pay for it, or can I get away with the error.

Hey there Atticus - did Peter promise your jacket in two weeks? I got an order confirmation on 02/19/03, and the anticipation for my black lambskin is going through the roof. Will it fit? Will it be too thin? Will I be the happiest clam in a black LC Wested?

Like someone posted in another thread, I find myself studying every leather jacket that I see... so far no Westeds on the subway in NY.

Ahh, make it stop already.

I wish he said two weeks. Im goin nuts waiting. Peter said that itd take 4 weeks. So im at the halfway point. However, its starting to get warm out so I might have to wait to use the jacket till next fall. What a shame. Just hope it fits.

Good luck again,

I have been lucky on the customs charges. To date, never been charged. I think that I live so far out in the sticks that my mail carrier doesn't know what a custom charge is. Wonder why some folks are charged while others are not? I am not complaining.Fedora

That can't be right???!!! CA$130 = US$20? Man, with that exchange rate I know where I'm going for vacation this summer! :)

I'm guessing that should read CA$30.

Best to all,
