A couple of new whips

Post by whiskyman »

I thought I'd post a couple of pics of 2 recent whips. The first is an 8ft (heavy weight!) that I finished last week. The other is a 10ft that I made yesterday. I was inspired to do the 10ft after seeing that IndyIV wallpaper. That made me really want to have a 10ft again - and I tried to give them both an "older Morgan" look.

Fantastic whips, whiskyman! Really nailed the Morgan look in my opinion. BTW, in the first pic, there's a knot halfway along the popper. Does that serve a purpose?

  I'm a big Pagey fan, they look absolutely great. You have to give me a whip making course some day.
Best regards.

Thanks folks.
The knot in the cracker must've happened when I was trying it out - it doesn't serve a purpose.
Kim, I see you picked up the 10ft that John sold - has it reached you yet?

Nope, I'm still saving up the dough. My spending money is tied up in leather at the moment. John has generously put it aside for me.
What about that course Nick?
